If you like myths, maybe you shoud read D'Aulaires' Book of Greek Myths. If you like poetry books, maybe you should read Pet Poems. If you like fact books, maybe you should read a book about planets and stars. If you like drama books, maybe you should read Romeo and Juliet. If you like fables, maybe you should read Androcles and the Lion.
