On Thursday, we had a great trip out on Commencement Bay! We ended up having perfect weather, probably because the Beacons and Navigators are such great students. :) We learned about sailing, environmental issues and the many organisms in the Bay.

At gathering on Friday we saw an awesome play called, "The Sneetches!" We have lots of potential actors and actresses on our hands!

This week we were also treated to a beautiful art show by one of our very own Navigators. Wow! C'est Magnifique!
This week we also continued our study of Scandinavia and the Vikings. We took some time to practice writing in Futhark Runes and to play a game called Hnefatafl (also called "Viking Chess"). Ask your Navigator if they can teach you how to spell anything in Futhark or if they would like to play a game of Hnefatafl with you!
